The work is happening in the once-upon-a-time verandah area which has been enclosed and glazed in a previous renovation. We have had 18 years of using the space as is and it is now time to alter it. Widen the far part, build a wall in the middle, raise the floor to match the rest of the house, insulate the western wall well, new double glazing, sunshading, possibly move the washing machine. Then paint and new floor finishes and we're back in business. And I might be able to get a well-lit studio out of it. Yippee!

As you see, even the cat has an opinion on the house plans. Soon to start, the modifications should make a difference to the use of the house and glass studio. Looking forward to it, hopefully without too much drama and unexpectedness. Production of craft work of all kinds may slump at this point, especially with a return to real work next week.
