Stage one of the works now more or less complete, we have been able to move in the bed, my clothes and the cats. I am looking forward to having bed, clothes, shoes, bags, scarves and jewellery all in the one room so it makes it easier to get dressed in the morning.

Slowly slowly progress is being made on the house. Painting in progress, shelves going in, stairs to garage. Soon we will be wired for light, power and internet (throughout the house). Better get the heating fixed too. The fan decided to pack it in
I love the mountains. All of them. My husband and I just spent a week at the snow ski-ing, eating, talking, sleeping (asleep by 10!) and relaxing. My banner photo was also taken at Charlotte Pass, on a previous visit.
Finally getting there. Paint going on ceilings, walls, doors and windows. Soon we can carpet and move in the bed. Plus all the rest!
Have to report a very successful few weeks in all things. The builder stepped up and the plasterer has been and gone as a result. Painter soon and then it will be time to fit the carpet and get some electrics going. I am looking forward to sleeping in my new room. Already with all the gaps round the windows filled it feels pleasant to be in.
In the studio, a few pieces have emerged. My favourite would have to be this one, which is going to Canada. How circular life is; it was in Canada that I started to make glass beads. More pieces to make and then lots of well-taken photos are required to put in my shop so that you can see the rest of the colourful glassy loot. |
