Since we learnt that one of our favourite young people had got into the JET program and would be off to Japan later this month, I have been busy getting his quilt together. Piecing takes no time at all but this one involved lots of hand sewing, making it indeed a very personal quilt. He is absolutely delighted with it, always a marvellous reward. The quilting will follow, done by Shaw-ly Sensational, the quilter being the mother of another of the young man's friends. Yes, it is a small world and we love the overlapping nature of friendships and interests that we have built up between us all.
I have always been obsessed with creation and colour. These days I play with glass and fabric as much of the time as I can. The rest is taken up with a little paid architectural work, family and playing with our two cats.
